The Aula Bunker (Bunker Courthouse) is one of Palermo’s most emblematic structures, a testament to a pivotal political and judicial era in post-war Italy.
In collaboration with Supervoid Architecture, our Summer School workshop brought together architects, artists, and photographers for an immersive exploration of this enigmatic landmark. Guided by insights from Anna Livia Friel, Benjamin Gallegos, Gabilondo, Marco Provinciali, Alfredo Thiermann, and Marina Montresor, we examined the Aula Bunker as both an architectural marvel and a symbol of resistance against the Mafia, profoundly influencing the city’s collective memory.
